L-Methylfolate + Cofactors includes two B-vitamins and the mineral magnesium for the optimal metabolism of L-methylfolate. In addition to the methyl groups supplied by L-methylfolate, these cofactors are essential to methylation reactions. The conversion of homocysteine to methionine requires B-12, and the conversion of homocysteine to cysteine requires B-6. Magnesium is a cofactor for the COMT enzyme, which transfers a methyl group from SAMe to metabolize dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. Use it to help support healthy mood, cardio, and nerve function.
